Lamar Odom and the Mavs have cut ties once and for all, well not technically

Around this time last year Lamar Odom was finishing up a season with the Lakers that saw him winning the 6th man of the year award. Today, Odom will not be preparing for a postseason, not with the Lakers, not with the Mavs, not anybody. The Mavericks have not quite released Odom, both parties agreed that a separation from the team was best. Lamar had this to say about the move to the inactive list; ”I’m sorry that things didn’t work out better for both of us, but I wish the Mavs’ organization, my teammates and Dallas fans nothing but continued success in the defense of their championship.”

Since Lamar and wife Khloe Kardashian left Los Angeles Odom has had a few life scarring experiences, including the murder of his young cousin as well as being a passenger in an accident that proved to be deadly. There is no telling where Khole and Lamar go from here, but one thing certain is he will not play basketball this year.

Now of course things wouldn’t be complete without Ron Artest throwing in his two cents.”Maybe he can come back  and be a ball boy and then next year, come play. That’s what he should do. He’d be the first ball boy in the NBA that can play. Come back, get the towels and next year, play. Why not? He should be a (boy) scout. Lamar should be a scout.” So there you have it, Lamar Odom will be the next ball boy of the Los Angeles Lakers.
